The Southern Hermit (Chazara prieuri) is a butterfly species belonging to the family Nymphalidae. It can be found in Morocco and Spain.
The wingspan is 45-60 mm. The butterflies fly from mid-July to mid-August depending on the location. In Morocco, they are on the wing as from mid-June.
The larvae feed on Lygeum spartum.
