Weber (1940) described a nest from Barro Colorado Island, Panama. The single nest chamber was 67mm deep.
I know this species from few collections. At La Selva Biological Station, Eli Sarnat collected it in a rotten log, and a worker was collected in one canopy fogging sample. Workers have been taken in Winkler samples, and a worker was collected in a Malaise sample from the 300m site on the Barva Transect. At Refugio Eladio in Penas Blancas, an 800m site east of Monteverde, I found a nocturnal forager on the ground. I have a worker from Sirena in Corcovado National Park, but no other biological data.
