Aechmea nudicaulis parati
Aechmea nudicaulis is a species native to Mexico, Central America, the West Indies, Venezuela and Brazil. It contains a number of different recognized varieties. They are variable in size, forming compact green or red leaves.
"Aechmea nudicaulis and its varieties are free flowering, easy to grow beginners' plants." The cultivar 'Parati' originates from the southern part of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The wide leaves vary in color based on light exposure but are a reddish brown green with a silver lining; the inflorescence contains orange and vivid yellow bracts.
