Male Red-necked Wallaby (Macropus rufogriseus) near Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. Photographed on 10 April 2009. The males, in particular, show this distinctive tan pattern on the shoulders in late Summer. Previously had this as Macropus parryi however Gerry Maines, a macropod expert in the Australian Department of the Environment (pers. comm.) informed me that it was Macropus rufogriseus.
