The oral disk of the sea anemone is approximately centered on the concave surface of the scaphopod shell. In a minority of the collected specimens, the pedal disk of the anemone is not wrapped tightly around the scaphopod shell but is bunched as shown in Shimek (1997: fig. 1)."
