General DescriptionColonies. With a daily growth rate of (6-) 7-8 mm, with a pale or olivaceous aerial mycelium and often with yellow, grey green, green or red exudates. Ascomata. Maturing within 7-9 days, olivaceous, grey-green or brown in reflected light, superficial, spherical, ovate or obovate, ostiolate, 175-280 μm; ascomatal wall brown, of textura intricata, cells 2-3.5 μm broad; ascomatal hairs numerous, usually unbranched, flexuous, undulate or coiled, often tapering, septate, brownish, 3-4.5 μm broad at the base, up to 500 μm long. Asci. Clavate or slightly fusiform, stalked, 30-40 × 11-16 μm, 8-spored, evanescent. Ascospores. Limoniform, usually biapiculate, bilaterally flattened, brownish when mature, rather thick-walled, containing numerous droplets, 9-12 × 8-10 × 6-8 μm, with an apical germ pore. Paraphyses. Not observed.
