Range Description

Pericrocotus igneus is confined to the Sundaic lowlands, from south Tenasserim, Myanmar, peninsular Thailand, Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore (formerly), Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia, Brunei and Palawan, Philippines (BirdLife International 2001). It is uncommon in parts of the range (Thailand, Borneo) and fairly common in others (Myanmar, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra).
