Range Description

Leptopogon taczanowskii is endemic to the east Andes of Peru. It ranges from Amazonas and San Martn southwards as far as Cuzco, including presence in Ro Abiseo National Park, Yanachaga-Chemilln National Park, Apurmac Reserved Zone, Alto Mayo Protected Forest and Machu Picchu Historical Sanctuary. It is considered uncommon to fairly common (del Hoyo et al. 2004).
