Range Description

This leaf-tailed gecko is endemic to Madagascar where it has been recorded from scattered localities in the south of the island (Glaw and Vences 2007). Confirmed sites include Ambatotsirongorongo (Ramanamanjato et al. 2002), Andohahela (Nussbaum et al. 1999, Andreone and Randrianirina 2007, Ramanamanjato et al. 2002), Kalambatritra (Andreone and Randrianirina 2007) and Analavelona (Raxworthy et al. 2008). It occurs from near sea level up to around 1,000 m asl. Its extent of occurrence, based on the area of known sites, is 1,055 km.
