Range Description

Cyperus grayi is found along the north and south Atlantic coast of the USA. Occurrences have been reported in Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Virginia. In 1984, It was also reported to occur in Alabama and Florida but the presence in these states is not confirmed by the USDA or the Monocot Checklist and no evidence of occurrence were found (NatureServe 1984, USDA Plant Profile 2002, Monocot Checklist Kew, accessed 26th of May 2008). The extent of occurrence (EOO) does not include these states.
