Carex stipata (Awl Fruited Sedge) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, Eastern North America, Alaska, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 3.5 feet.
