Joannesia princeps is a species of tree in the family Euphorbiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Caatinga, and South America. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit.
