Range Description

This species' range includes Salt Creek (subspecies salinus) at about 49 meters below sea level, and Cottonball Marsh (subspecies milleri), at about 80 meters below sea level, in Death Valley National Park, California (Moyle 2002). Two introduced populations of subspecies salinus at Soda Lake (San Bernardino County) and River Springs (Mono County) did not persist.
