Range Description

This is a Fijian endemic, known only from Navutu-i-Loma Island in the Yagasa cluster of the southern Lau group. It is known only from the type series (nine specimens: BPBM 167018, BPBM 167054, USNM 664707, FMNH 168061) collected in 1938 and 1970 (Solem 1976). The island's vegetation remains relatively undisturbed. Its area (1.54 km) is an estimate of both the species' extent of occurrence and area of occupancy.
