Range Description

This is a Fijian endemic, known only from Navutu-i-Loma Island in the Yagasa cluster of the southern Lau group. It is known only from the type series (nine specimens: BPBM 167018, BPBM 167054, USNM 664707, FMNH 168061) collected in 1938 and 1970 (Solem 1976). The island's vegetation remains relatively undisturbed. Its area (1.54 km²) is an estimate of both the species' extent of occurrence and area of occupancy.
