Alpheus confusus is an eastern Pacific shrimp first described from the Gulf of California, Mexico. This species is free-living, and occurs under stones and rubble, on rocky or mixed-sand bottoms, intertidal to 10 m depth. For more details, see Knowlton et al. 2008,
