North American Ecology (US and Canada)

Amblyscirtes aesculapius is resident in the southeastern United States (Scott 1986). Habitats are moist woods. Host plant is the grass species Arundinaria tecta. There are multiple flights between June 1- early July and Aug 15-Sept. 15 in the northern part of their range, and in the south multiple flights between Feb. 1-Sept. 30, at least (Scott 1986).
