Range Description

Dasypoda frieseana shows a restricted distribution in Greece, Albania and Macedonia where the subpopulations seem to be isolated from each other (Warncke 1973; Michez et al. 2004a,b) and there is no or little genetic exchange between them; the species is therefore considered as severely fragmented.. The extent of occurrence (EOO) is 103,436 km² and the area of occupancy (AOO) is 52 km².
