Range Description

This species was originally described from the western North Atlantic, east of Cape Hatteras (35 27' N, 73 14' W). Its distribution does not appear to extend east of 50 W and it is apparently restricted to the subtropical region (Roper and Jereb 2010). It is known also from the Gulf of Mexico (Judkins et al. 2009).
