DISTRIBUTION: Although not recorded very often in the literature, T. antarctica proves to have a wide distribution, having been identified from the antarctic continent from 49ºE to 138ºE, and from the Ross Sea, the Weddell Sea, and the Antarctic Peninsula. It extends to the South Shetlands and South Sandwich Islands. In the Ross Sea it is comparatively common in depths of 100-836 m, a range not exceeded elsewhere.”
