Alpheus pacificus is an Indo-West Pacific snapping shrimp that belongs to the Edwardsii species group within the genus Alpheus. This species is primarily intertidal, and lives under rocks, in dead corals, or burrowing in clean sand. For more details, see ABRS (2009):
