Range Description

This widely distributed bat has been recorded from much of sub-Saharan Africa. It ranges from northeastern Côte d'Ivoire in the west, through much of the northern part of West and Central Africa (north of the Congo basin), to Ethiopia and East Africa, from here southwards as far as northeastern South Africa. It has been recorded between 400 and 2,000 m asl.
