Range Description

This species is distributed in the western Atlantic including the Bahamas, the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean Sea, Tobago, and down to So Paulo, Brazil (Holthuis 1991).

The type locality for this species is 'Blake' Station 33, north of Yucatan Bank (2401'N 8858'W) at a depth of 2,560-2,870 m (Holthuis 1991).
