 A spider crab with characteristic swellings on each side of the carapace, which bears groups of bristles or small spines. The carapace grows up to 11 mm long and is pale reddish-brown in colour. The pincered legs are spiny and the walking legs are covered with long bristles. The eyestalks are especially long.
