General Description

The forewing is pink with some grey infuscation especially towards the outer margin. Broad reddish brown bands are present in the basal, median, and postmedian areas. The middle of these bands often are toothed or pinched and there may be some black markings through the middle of the wing. The head and thorax are reddish brown, and the hindwings and abdomen are medium greyish brown. The larva is green with a darker green middorsal stripe and dark pinacula. It has a light brown head and prothorax (Duncan 2006).
