Populations generally of low density, on the walls of black smokers. Frequently associated with Alvinellidae, which form part of their diet (stomach with numerous fragments of alvinellids and other polychaetes, and parts of young Bythograea). Megalopes collected and observed at the base of small chimney at 17°25?S (Oasis).
