Productus is a genus of extinct brachiopod of the order Productida. The shell is round in shape and adorned with radiating ribs. The shell's growth lines are circular. In life, the shell was covered in spines that are throught to have been used to anchor the animal to the seabed in addition to the pedicle. These spines usually don't fossilize.
