Range Description

This species has a wide geographic distribution ranging from Nova Scotia, Canada in the north, southwards along the eastern coast of the United States and Mexico, to northern Venezuela (Reid and Jereb 2005). Its distribution includes the islands of the Caribbean Sea and possibly further south along the coast of South America to Argentina (Reid and Jereb 2005) although the identity of these records may be questionable.
