Range Description

C. mus has been described as occurring in a wide geographical range - specimens have been gathered from the Caribbean Sea, southern Gulf of Mexico and Western Atlantic, including Aruba, Belize, Bonaire, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curacao, Jamaica, Lesser Antilles, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, San Andres (Colombia), Venezuela suggesting this is not endemic to one particular area and is likely to be a geographical generalist (Miloslavich et al. 2010).
