Symphyotrichum chilense (Pacific Aster) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, and The Americas. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Hylephila phylaeus, Bembix americana, Woodland Skipper, and Ochlodes yuma. Individuals can grow to 0.99 m.
