Range Description

This species was thought to be endemic to the Gulf of Aden, where it occurs along the north Somalia coast including Djibouti and off the north of the Gulf along the Yemeni coast (Rckel et al.1995). However, it may also be found in the southern part of the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea, but because of the protected status of the Red Sea area, this is not possible to verify at the moment.

The EOO, AOO and number of locations exceed the thresholds for criteria B1 and B2.
