Piper peltatum (Monkey's Hand) is a species of shrub in the family Piperaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Amazônia, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, RondôNia, Acre (Brazil), GoiáS, Maranhao, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pará, Mato Grosso, Cerrado, Roraima, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Paraná, Amapá, and Ceará. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 7.7 m.
