Range Description

This species has been reported from the tropical and southern subtropical western and central Indo-Pacific at depths from the surface to around 2,000 m (Roper and Jereb 2010). However, its type locality is in the southern Indian Ocean (37°S 33°E) and, given the taxonomic problems in the genus, it is difficult to be certain of its distribution beyond this area.
