It is a softly tomentose perennial plant with a woody base. Stems are erect or ascending, and terete. Leaves are orbicular, revolute margins, apiculate apex, and cuneate base. Flowers are ebracteate, sessile or subsessile with white, tubular corolla silky outside and glabrous inside and are arranged in terminal, spike-like, simple or branched inflorescence. The fruit is composed of 4 ovoid, glabrous, minutely tuberculate nutlets.
