Range Description

This wide-ranging species occurs in the Mexican states of Coahuila and Durango. The literature also reports it from Chihuahua, Nuevo Len, San Luis Potos, Sonora and Zacatecas. It also occurs in Texas in the USA, and it has been reported from the literature to occur in Arizona and New Mexico (Hernndez et al. 2004). It grows at elevations of 700 to 2,400 m asl (Pilbeam 1999).
