Range Description

This species occurs in the warm temperate and tropical regions of the Atlantic (Vecchione and Young 2007). It may also occur in the Indian Ocean, but this needs to be confirmed with additional specimens (Vecchione and Young 2007). Because of taxonomic confusion in the family, distribution records should be treated with caution.
