They are native to Bahia, Cerrado, Amapá, Mexico, Pará, Mato Grosso, RondôNia, Puerto Rico, Tocantins, Mato Grosso Do Sul, SãO Paulo, Amazônia, Ceará, Roraima, The Contiguous United States, Minas Gerais, Acre (Brazil), Pernambuco, and Maranhao. They have achenes.
