Carybdeidae is a small family of venomous box jellyfish within the class Cubozoa.

According to the World Register of Marine Species, there is only one genus in this family.

As at August 2013, the following genera previously classified in this family have been reassigned to the family Carukiidae:[3]

while the following genus has been reassigned to the family Alatinidae:[4]
