Thalassiosira eccentrica is a species of diatoms in the family Thalassiosiraceae. They are native to Rio Grande Do Norte, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Rio De Janeiro, Pará, Paraná, Bahia, Santa Catarina, Amazônia, Rio Grande Do Sul, and SãO Paulo. Dead Thalassiosira eccentrica form siliceous oozes.
