Male: Carapace is dark orange-red, sometimes paler at margins, thinly covered with white setae. Legs are yellowish to orange with distal portions of segments dark. Abdomen with greyish-brown heart mark and with paired, angular broken markings. Venter is black with distinct, white bracket-shaped marks (Dondale et al., 2003). Female: Coloration as in male
