A little-known but common Australian catshark found on the outer continental shelf and upper slope, presumably on or near the bottom (Ref. 11146). Feeds mainly on fish, crustaceans, and cephalopods (Ref. 6871). Appears to aggregate by sex (Ref. 6871).
