Morphology: Dorsal spines (total): 2 - 2; Anal spines: 0 - 0. The head moderately large; the eyes also large; the snout pointed; head ridges not excessively spiny or coarsely developed. Grayish brown overall with vermiculations or mottling on the nape, back and upper sides; the mouth whitish; the gill cavity blackish; the fins dusky.
