Morphology: Dorsal spines (total): 9 - 9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 20 - 22; Anal spines: 3 - 3; Anal soft rays: 16 - 18. Greenish blue above, silvery grey below; blackish blotch on upper opercular margin; caudal fin yellowish (Ref. 3197). Adult males with 3-8 central dorsal and anal filamentous rays; LL with 17-29 scutes.
