Flowers 5-6mm across, purple, sessile, in cymes forming in 10-15cm long axillary panicles. Calyx, 5 lobed,persistant. corolla 2 lipped, 2=3 tube short, stamens 4 didynamous, exerted, ovary 2 celled, fruit a globose drupe, 4-6mm across, black. hard.
