Description:
Aureoumbra (awe-ree-um-bra) lagunensis is one of the tiny eukaryotic planktonic algae, the cell contains a golden plastid. This alga caused a bloom in the Laguna Madre, Texas, USA, that lasted for 10 years, longer than any other recorded algal bloom. Differential interference microscopy.
