Description: English: Stunted Scots Pine growing on very thin soil on the bedrock near Ofotfjord, Nordland, Norway, 200 km north of the Arctic cirlcle. Nearby are larger pines growing on deeper soil. Pine is the most drought-tolerant tree in Norway. View towards north. The mountains in the background reach up to 1090 m (4000 ft) above sea level.
