Description:
Description: Boletus viscidocorrugis Both Observation Notes: A dissected Boletus viscidocorrugis mushroom growing at the Brendan T. Byrne State Forest, Burlington County., New Jersey, USA. This is a common find in the Pine Barrens in August. Appears somewhat similar to B. longicurvipes, but the exposed context staining pink (see the next photo) rules it out. View of the specimen photographed less than 30 seconds after dissection : For more information about this, see the observation page at Mushroom Observer.
