Hordeum brachyantherum - meadow barley

Image of meadow barley

Description:

Description: English: The stems can be tall (0.5-1.0 m) and the inflorescence erect and compact (relatively short awned), features that readily distinguish Hordeum brachyantherum from the potentially similar Hordeum jubatum. Hordeum brachyantherum also inhabit mountain meadows and wet settings whereas Hordeum jubatum inhabits lower and drier settings. Juncus balticus and Collomia linearis co-occur with Hordeum in this photo. Date: 26 August 2021, 04:02:40. Source: https://www.flickr.com/photos/35478170@N08/3926959089/. Author: Matt Lavin.
