Zigzag Spiderwort

Image of zigzag spiderwort

Description:

Tradescantia subaspera at the Daniel Boone Native Gardens. These plants grow taller than the Virginia Spiderwort and prefer woods and shaded places to prairies and open meadows. Each flower lasts only one day, but they are constantly replaced by new ones so the plants look like they are blooming for a long time.
