Pink Wood Sorrel (Oxalis debilis var. corymbosa)

Image of pink woodsorrel

Description:

Pink wood sorrel is often found growing in local lawns and called a weed. Originally from South America, they were captured by humans and brought to Florida but escaped into the wild. The plant and flowers have been eaten but are so high in oxalic acid they can cause severe calcium deficiency and probably should be considered poisonous.
