Spermacoce verticillata (Shrubby False Buttonweed) is a species of shrub in the family Rubiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to SãO Paulo, Roraima, Distrito Federal, Saint Vincent And The Grenadines, Pernambuco, Cerrado, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso Do Sul, The Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Pará, Rio De Janeiro, Saint Lucia, Brazil, Rio Grande Do Norte, Guyana, Maranhao, AmazôNia, Turks And Caicos Islands, Paraná, GoiáS, Paraguay, Mata AtlâNtica, Venezuela, Guatemala, Acre (Brazil), Peru, Piauí, Bahia, Bolivia, ParaíBa, Tocantins, Dominica, Ecuador, Espirito Santo, Ceará, Amapá, Puerto Rico, Alagoas, Haiti, RondôNia, French Guiana, Costa Rica, Mexico, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande Do Sul, Belize, Suriname, Colombia, Santa Catarina, Caatinga, and Honduras. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Delta Flower Scarab, Antillean Blue, Red-marked Pachodynerus, and Polistes major major. Individuals can grow to 0.13 m.
